No more drinking for me. A family history of alcoholism + a weekend which included blacking out and not remembering part of what should have been a great evening with old friends + a two-day hangover = me no longer being interested in drinking. In particular, the blacking out part disturbs me. That is unacceptable and a classic sign of trouble. So, that is it. I quit.
Still quit? I'd say you'll be better for it. Best of luck.
ReplyDeleteStill quit. I don't feel quite so religious about it anymore but I am comfortable with it. The good wife and I had gotten into a rut of drinking quite a bit last Spring and into the Summer. This has served as a nice habit breaker. I may get back to drinking the occasional beer at some point, but I am not in a hurry.
